1. Applicability of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ET.Verdict ("we," "us") processes Personal Data collected through our Services. It applies where we act as a Data Controller. It does not apply to the content of legal documents you upload or specific confidential client data you input, which are governed by our Terms of Service.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We collect data in the following categories, mirroring international best practices:

2.1. Information You Provide:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, Bar Council License Number, professional affiliation, and billing details.
  • Communication Information: Contents of messages when you contact support or respond to surveys.

2.2. Information Collected Automatically:

  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, date/time of access, and page interactions.
  • Usage Data: Metadata regarding how you interact with the Services, including search query volume, features used, and dwell time.
  • Device Information: Operating system, device identifiers, and connection type.

3. How We Use Personal Data

We use your data for the following legitimate business purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain Services: Authenticating access and processing search queries.
  • To Develop and Improve AI: Using anonymized Usage Data and queries to train our machine learning models and improve search relevance for Myanmar legal terminology.
  • Safety and Compliance: Detecting fraud, preventing VPN evasion, and complying with legal obligations.

4. Mandatory Data Retention (Myanmar Compliance)

  • Statutory Requirement: Pursuant to Section 42 of the Cybersecurity Law (2025), we are legally mandated to retain your Account Information, Log Data, and Usage Data for a minimum of three (3) years.
  • No Erasure: Due to this statutory mandate, we cannot honor requests for data deletion prior to the expiration of this period.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

  • Trusted Partners: We share data with third-party service providers (e.g., cloud hosting like AWS/Google, payment processors) strictly for operational purposes.
  • Government Authorities (Irrevocable Waiver): We are strictly required to disclose data to the Ministry of Transport and Communications or other authorized bodies upon receipt of a written directive citing state security or stability. You waive any claims against us for compliance with such orders.

6. International Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of Myanmar (e.g., Singapore, USA) to utilize advanced cloud AI infrastructure. You consent to this transfer.
